UFO SIGHTING IN WINNIPEG, MANITOBA ON SEPTEMBER 1ST 2013 - BEAMING LOW FALSHING RED LIGHTS HOVERING ABOVE CITY!I was in Winnipeg, Manitoba at approximately 10-10:30 walking my dog, around the paddington area. National Geographic Channel - Original Air Date: Unknown (Viewed 9/2010)

While this show claims to be the "truth" about this well-known UFO incident, the vast amount of the show is taken up with eyewitness accounts and speculation about what it would take to create and fly a craft like the one reported by those witnesses. Normal propulsion and craft and pilots are ruled out, and theres plenty of talk about what it could "not" be. "The fact is, no earthly explanations can account for the sightings," the show concludes about halfway through. They do mention the military flares being dropped that night, but they quickly rule them out as an explanation for "any" of the sightings. Clearly, none of these people have seen the first-class debunking in UFOs Over Phoenix, nor would they probably care if they had. All of the "scientist/experts" in this show are actually UFO researchers; they all have a horse in this race. There is very little, if any time, given to the possibility that the witnesses are merely wrong -- mistaken or unwittingly exaggerating what theyve seen. Thus does science die the death of a thousand cuts at the hands of "believers." And make no mistake, despite its title, this show is for believers, not skeptics. I expect better from National Geographic; sadly, this time, I did not get it. I cannot tell if this is another in the "The Truth Behind..." series Ive reported on before. If it is, it falls considerably short of the standards of the others. If youre looking for the truth for the Phoenix sightings, look elsewhere.

MARK, 13 FIGHTS OFF ALIEN KIDNAPPERS

A Perth schoolboy claims that ugly alien beings tried to drag him from a tent on the front lawn of his parent's home.

While Mark Davies, 13, of Midland, had his brush with the unknown, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Bell, who live only two streets away, were alarmed by a huge green and white cone, hovering over their garden.

The strange encounters came at the peak of a 12 hour UFO scare in January.

The flying saucer flap involved dozens of Perth famlies whose digital clocks stopped and car engines, refrigerators and ovens failed.

A police van cruising near the scene had a radio blackout. The patrolmen, Constables Tim Moffit and Mark Fleskens, later reported that an eerie white light had appeared inside the van, behind the driver's seat.

For Mark Davies, the ordeal began about an hour after he had bedded down for the night in a makeshift tent on the front lawn of his parent's house.

Mark's still in shock, his mother Eileen told me. "After that first night, when he rushed into the house screaming, he's clammed up completely and refuses to discuss it further.

"It was a hot, sticky night. Mark had asked if he could sleep outside, so we rigged up a rough tent for him with old sheets and steel posts.

"Soon after midnight, he burst into the bedroom, screaming. He told me and my husband Malcolm, that horribly ugly beings with guns, had been trying to tear off his blankets and drag him from bed.

"At that moment we knew nothing of the UFOs appearing right then in the district -- we naturally assumed Mark had been having nightmares. But it was impossible to calm him down.

"First I tried putting him in his own bedroom, but he screamed so much I finally brought him into bed with me.

"I noticed the clock radio had stopped. Next morning I discovered that the fridge had shut off, too.

"At about 1 am Mark seemed to be getting worse. He was shaking so violently and so much saliva was running from his mouth. I finally presumed something on the lawn had bitten him.

"We took Mark to a doctor, who told us it was probably a touch of the sun. But when he examined Mark, he was puzzled by a large red scratch on his stomach.

"When the doctor asked how he'd come by that, Mark replied that it was where the creature had clawed him during their struggle.

"We accepted the doctor's sunstroke theory until the next day, when the radio news was full of reports of strange lights over our suburb.

"We then started questioning Mark more seriously about what had happened -- but he totally refused to communicate.

"He burst into tears, saying the creatures would take his 12 year old brother Kevin if he said any more.

That same night of the alleged kidnap attempt, police were called to the house of artist Sidney Bell, two streets behind the Davie's house.

"I woke to see two forks of light coming out of the sky," he said.

"Then, in the middle, there appeared a huge green, white and blue light about 30 meters high and tapered to a point at the top.

The thing was sitting on the ground, on a base about 6 meters wide. An Alsatian over the road began moaning, as though it had been hit by a car."

Constable Moffit, 23, was assigned to investigate -- and he, too, saw the cone of light traveling north along the Roe Highway, he shouted to his offsider Constable Fleskens, 21, that he had spotted the extraordinary object hovering above Midland.

"A bright flash of white light then appeared inside the van," Constable Fleskens said.

I understand that, after the flash, the police van's radio failed -- severing their contact with the Perth communications center.

Theirs wasn't the only equipment breakdown on Perth's night of the UFOs.

Mark Meelas, director of WA's UFO Investigation Center told me, "Many people in the suburbs say their digital clocks (even those with battery backup) went off during the sighting.

"The remarkable thing was that all the clocks came back on several minutes later, showing the correct time, instead of flashing 12.

One woman told Meelas she religiously unplugs her microwave oven every night in case there's a power surge. During the sightings, the unplugged oven switched itself on. (!)

The UFO seems to have emitted some kind of force," Meelas said. "During the time it was seen, a fence was pushed over and two trees were bent to a 45-degree angle.

Mark Davies is not the first witness to describe an attempted abduction by clawed creatures.

During the 1970's two fishermen in Pascagoula, Mississippi claimed that beings with talons had wafted them aboard a hovering flying saucer. Hypnotists and lie detector experts were unable to shake the men's story.

We have sold one of the two seats for this flight and anticipate that the launch will occur in 2015," said Richard Garriott, vice-chairman of VIRGINIA-based Space Adventures. A LARGE, silver, shining object hovered above Rita Hadens car as she travelled home from work along Old Toowoomba Rd just before 2am one eerily quiet Ipswich morning in 1992.

Now 86, Mrs Haden said she still vividly remembered how the mysterious nine metre long craft "dazzled" her with its bright lights, which could be seen even after she arrived home and ran inside.

"The little dog next door just wailed and howled, the light was so bright," she said.

"I had just gone past the One Mile Hotel when I first saw it and it stayed in my backyard for about an hour.

"I was on my own and very, very scared." The Leichhardt resident joined the Ipswich UFO Group after her first encounter and has travelled the world telling others her story.

"I worked in the air force for many years, so I know my planes and this was something I had never seen before," she said.

"I couldnt see any windows. Unlike normal planes it didnt have a dull surface - it was very shiny. It made no noise whatsoever.

"All I saw was a big shape coming down.

"Too many people have seen too many things for there not to be something else out there."...

WHAT IS IT? Like a rabbit in a hat, the identity of an oddity that looks like "bunny ears" in a picture from Mars has eluded the science and engineering teams. The public, also fascinated with the mysterious object, has asked in a slew of e-mails: What is it? It is a yellowish object measuring about 4 to 5 centimeters (about 2 inches) long that made its debut when Opportunity's eyes welcomed Earth to a new neighborhood on Mars in her mission success panoramic image. Meridiani Planum is a landscape unlike any other stop on our decades-long tour of the red planet. Still, it wasn't the conspicuous bedrock outcropping near the horizon that initially fascinated many people. It was the "bunny ears." BEMUSED BY BUNNY Temporarily sharing a large workroom in the building that houses rover mission control, engineers were still meticulously reconstructing the events of entry, descent and landing and scientists were anxiously poring over the pictures their most recently successful twin was returning. Jeff Johnson, a scientist from the U.S. Geological Survey and a member of the panoramic camera team, heard from others about a small, fuzzy-looking object in the mission success panorama. Viewing the image on his computer screen, Johnson wondered aloud, "What in the world is this?" Colleagues gathered around his computer table, trying to make sense of the oddity. Most team members agreed that the "bunny ears" had been, at some point, part of the rover or its lander. The yellowish color led many to conclude that the object was a piece of airbag material. The Mars Pathfinder mission set a precedent in 1997 for puzzling pieces around the landing site. An object dubbed "Pinky" caught the attention of the Pathfinder science team and the public. Although never positively identified, it was thought to be a piece of Kapton tape - an adhesive used often in aerospace applications. HOW DID THEY TRACK THE MYSTERIOUS OBJECT? To further complicate the Meridiani mystery, when Johnson tried to image the quirky "ears" at higher resolution, they had vanished from where they were originally spotted - about 4.5 meters (15 feet) from the lander. Johnson, intrigued by their disappearance, was good-naturedly assigned by Steve Squyres (the mission's principal investigator) to "track the bunny." He discovered that the object was visible in navigation camera images acquired on landing day - but lying a meter (about 3 feet) further from the lander, up the crater slope. Using JPL-designed software, scientists are able to measure the "bunny ears" in each image where they appear. The object is about the same size in every image. "After looking at pictures of Opportunity's lander up-close, I think we might have, again, spotted the bunny," said Johnson. "It looks as if the object has been blown under the north-facing egress ramp." Johnson and his colleagues believe that a light wind whirling from the north over Opportunity's Challenger Memorial Station landing site could have transported the article. Its small size indicates that it would be easily carried by even a light wind. The three-color Pancam images acquired of the object as part of the mission success panorama even showed some evidence that the object moved slightly between images from the gentle wind. Johnson estimates that the breeze pushed the "bunny ears" an estimated 5 to 6 meters (about 16 to 20 feet). "There's no evidence of a mark that it left in the soil as it moved," Johnson noted. "It was light enough and small enough to not leave any 'footprints'." IF NOT A BUNNY, THEN WHAT? Without seeing the "bunny ears" object up close with our own eyes, it's difficult to provide a positive identification. However, scientists and engineers are quick to deflate the myth that it is anything inexplicable. "Our team believes that this odd-looking feature is a piece of soft material that definitely came from our vehicle," said Rob Manning, lead engineer for entry, descent and landing. "We cannot say exactly where it came from but we can say that there are several possibilities: cotton insulation, Vectran covers and wraps from the airbag,Zylon bridle tensioning ties, or felt insulation from the gas generators.... The list goes on. We do not think this is parachute material, however, due to its color (it does not look blue enough to be the undyed nylon or red enough to be the dyed nylon). Knowing the possibility that we could have left a bit of a mess nearby, once we saw this feature we only marveled at how clean everything looked and we have not given it another thought. We try to make sure that bits do not fall off, but they do, and we were not at all surprised." Johnson took the visual color clues a step further. He measured the visible light spectrum from the Pancam image of the "bunny ears" and compared it to the spectrum of a sample of airbag material. The nearly identical spectra are distinct from typical martian soil or rock spectra and lead Johnson to believe that the "bunny ears" are, indeed, a wayward piece of airbag material or something similar. Full Description of event/sighting: While driving south on hwy 410 and watching a plane fly in front of me. A metallic grey disc, very thin but about the size of a mid-sized car flies past my vision of the plane and then surpasses the planes speed and is gone. Lasted about 3-4 seconds. It was traveling rather low, a couple hundred feet above the ground and going from east to west along the Toronto Pearson Airports take off flight routes. As soon as I seen it I told my wife, "look at that", while trying to get my camera out all while driving, by the time I pulled my camera out it was already gone. A few seconds more I would of had a picture of it. My wife did not see it. This is also sighting number 2 since September 28, 2007. I will forward proof of that one soon. I am friends with (names removed). The next report I'm going to give you I have 3 witnesses whom also have agreed to come forward. She has a video and I have a video clip, also pictures of it, but this was also at night.
