Results from a poll conducted by Insights West in Canada's province of British Columbia were published on April 1, which explored the conspiracy theory beliefs of British Columbians. An incredible 52% of the citizens polled believe UFOs exist.

A similar poll in the U.S. was conducted by Public Policy Polling, and it examined how democrats and republicans differ on conspiracy theory beliefs. The results, published on April 2, reveal that 21% of voters say a UFO crashed in Roswell, NM in 1947 and the US government covered it up. And 29% of voters believe aliens exist.

UFO SEEN OVER NORTH HYKEHAM? (THIS IS LINCOLNSHIRE)

A North Hykeham man says he spotted a UFO from his back garden on Friday night.

Stephen Melusco, from Lynmouth Close, said he went outside to observe stars and saw the dark delta or dart-shaped object travelling across the sky at about 9.15pm on April 5.

"It appeared to be travelling north east to west and was quite fast and may have been the size of medium size aircraft," he said.

"The sighting lasted 4 or 5 seconds. There were no on-board lights and no engine sounds.

We (4 people ) were having dinner around a campfire when we observed 8 egg shaped objects at approx. 5,000 ft or so altitude moving at about 200 mph in in an Easterly Direction in a staggered line formation with one of them trailing by about 3 or so miles. There was no sound and there was no movement we could see on their axis. There was no blinking of running lights as required by law.The light given off was a yellowish brown and was steady. We all 4 had the same observation and my wife took photos of the event with her cell phone. As for feelings I was kind of glad I have finally saw what every one has been talking about. As for me I am a former policeman and a trained observer and cannot place this with anything else I have seen before. The objects moved across the sky at a steady rate not changing there position in relation to each other and moved on out of range. There was no sound of any sort. The sky was clear and nothing to interfere with our observation.

I found this info today on the web, talking about 27 NEW species discovered in some caves in California. It's incredible to think about new species of animals (insects) being discovered in our modern times, and in a populated area like California of all places. On a semi related note, this idea of finding new species reminded me of a post I saw a few weeks back on boingboing. It was a technique used to "stabilize" the famous "Zapruder" film of the assassination of JFK. It is a pretty cool technique and really does make a difference to the shaky footage. Well, someone used this same technique to un-shake-ify the famous footage of bigfoot walking away.

I was really interested in bigfoot and Nessie back when I was a kid... it was probably my first introduction to "alternative viewpoints" regarding the scientific community. At one point, I thought that's what I wanted to be when I grew up... someone who would travel the world looking for undiscovered (or "imaginary" animals)... a "cryptozoologist" if you will. :)

NASA photo of Earth from Shuttle mission

A giant city sized UFO is clearly visible in a photo published on a NASA website.

This photo was taken by an astronaut aboard one of NASA'S shuttle missions and looks like just another beautiful picture of planet earth.After zooming in and panning the curvature of the planet you can see it clearly shows some type of UFO hovering just outside of earth's atmosphere. This is a massive object and almost looks like something plucked a huge chunk of soil out of a planet and sent it whirling into space.

Now this may be an asteroid or a meteor but what caught my attention was the structure that is visible on top of the UFO. Comparing the structure to the size of the UFO it seems to be rather tall and reflecting light. After zooming in as far as I could I can see something that resembles a bolt of electricity across the top of the tower with two conducting post on each side. Could this be some kind of metallic tower designed to control this massive UFO or Possibly a mobile refueling or charging station for UFO on long journeys around the universe?
