The Runway Landing lights at RAF Woodbridge....not a UFO in sight

I'm silly busy today preparing for Focus on Imaging in Birmingham but I simply could not resist posting this rather topical image.......

Now I'm not a big UFO conspiracy theorist but there was an incident in 1980 which is still unexplained.

In 1980 at RAF Woodbridge there was a famous UFO landing incident, which true or not caused quite a stir

Well, the papers on the incident were due for release under the 30 year rule and guess what?

They have gone missing.

Sadly I do not have any pictures of the incident, but 20 years later when I was working for the Sunday Telegraph I was sent to the scene to come up with a creative image to illustrate it.

After several hours driving round the area I was getting nowhere fast, coming up with little other than lacklustre GV's.

Then I saw a guy parked up from a local breakdown company in his tow truck.

Me. 'Excuse me mate, do you know the site of the reported UFO incident

Him.(Smiling) 'Yes, I remember it well'

Me. 'Can you take me there?'

Him. 'Follow me'

So we drove around the perimeter fence of the defunct cold war airfield until we reached a bridleway into the forest.

'It was around here somewhere but I'm not exactly sure where' he said, rather amused at the thought of assisting me in my mission.

So, we had the rough location, how on earth was I to make it look dramatic?

I put the camera on self timer around my neck and shot these images of Mr Tow truck and I fooling around in the late afternoon light which was casting these silly long shadows, check out the long 'ET' style fingers.

The biggest problem was not laughing and causing camera shake.

We were recently contacted by a very interesting man who wanted us to look at a photo he took on his property located deep in the Canadian wilderness.

The man was on his usual inspection of his property when he came across this huge light mass hovering over the trees lining one of his fields. He told us it was a massive extremely bright light that lit up his entire field. Along the right side of the light stood what looked like a rectangle structure of some type that seemed to be hovering next to this huge light.

The man thought this was the strangest thing he had ever seen and luckily had his camera with him and took a picture of the lights and his field. The object was so strange looking the man became extremely fearful and immediately left the area after taking the photo.

This event has upset this man since the day it happened. He decided to send it to Ed Fleming of F.T.T.O.U.F.O to see if Ed could help him identify what this light and structure next to it could have been. Ed examined the photo with great care and noticed what appears to be a gray looking creature peeking from behind a tree towards the man while he stood next to his truck to take his photo. The man never noticed this creature at the time.

Ed also agreed with the man that it does appear to be two objects one being the massive light source and the other some type of light structure, it also appears the light structure not only has form but some type of base supporting it.

Ed analyzed the photo to the best of his ability and could not find any obvious attempt the photo had been tampered with. Ed also thought the source seemed to be a very cool energy source - not a hot energy source.

More disturbing is that the creature behind the tree seems to have some type or object or weapon to the right of him either in his hand or standing next to him.This object is also lit and aiming at the man who was taking his picture at the time. You can see that this object next to the creature seems to be casting a light on the tree behind it.

This ordeal has been extremely upsetting for this man and he would only release the photo to us with the promise we would not identify who he is or where his land is located. We always first and foremost protect those who come to us with information and have agreed to show his unique photo without disrupting his privacy.

We find this to be an interesting photo. Chris Holly wrote a story not to long ago about two men in Australia who had almost the same exact experience happen to them in a remote field in Australia while they were hunting. They too saw a similar light however they experienced lost time during the event.

You can find that story along with this one located on our site. This type of thing can also be found in the events that happened at Fort Benning In 1977 to John Vasquez. He too suffered a light experience while serving at Fort Benning which was a bit different than the men in Australia and this event in Canada yet contained a mysterious bright light from the sky as in both these cases.

I want to point out that this man in Canada did the correct thing by leaving this area at once. He was alone facing the unknown and knew his best course of action was to return to the safety of other human beings. This action was clearly the right choice as although at the time the man did not notice the creature hiding behind the tree- the creature was watching him. I think it is clear that if he had ventured into the field the outcome of this story may be very different. Remember caution first when dealing with things that are unknown.

Pay attention to your surroundings and keep looking up, you never know what you may see. For now be careful out there.

UFO SIGHTING IN WASHINGTON, WASHINGTON ON JULY 25TH 2013 - TAKING PHOTOS OF MT. RAINIER AND DID NOT SEE OBJECT UNTIL PHOTOS WERE PUT ON COMPUTER THE NEXT DAY.

Flying from Pullman Washington to Seattle. Was taking lots of pictures out the plane window. Took several photos of Mt. Rainier to make sure one would be good. Got home to Sacramento that evening and next day downloaded the photos. Noticed the object was in the photo but not in the next shot 10 seconds later. Thought you might want to look at it. Zooming in on the photo it did not appear to be a plane. Photo's included. DSCN 1314 is the first shot with the object in it. DSCN 1315 is the second shot and the object is gone. The time on the photo said PM, but it was really AM. I guess the camera was set wrong.

To commemorate the July 7 66th Anniversary of the UFO incident at Roswell, New Mexico, Google has a really cool Doodle for us. It takes us back to 1947 and enlists our help to get a little alien back to it's downed ship.

You direct the ET around the ranch landscape and help it find objects that will help put its ship back together. It takes some skill so don't get discouraged. Kidding! It's fairly easy but fun enough to keep you interested.

You'll need to find objects that assist little gray, including; a gasoline can with a "radioactive" symbol on it that gives you extra power, a feather, and a rope. Once you've attained all the objects, the ET goes home and a newspaper appears depicting the Roswell incident. Click on it to learn more about that history-changing event in the desert.

OCTOBER 30, 2013 - UNITED STATES - I am from the East Coast (CT) visiting a childhood friend in Albuquerque, NM (from Thursday, 10/24 through 10/28/13).

After finishing dinner at the PF Changs restaurant (at 4440 The 25th Way NE, Albuquerque, NM) on Sunday, 10/27/13, my friend and I headed to the parking lot when my friend noticed a very bright light hovering in the sky over the general area above the roof of a hotel (I think a Drury Inn?) in the same parking lot. We stood for about a minute or two debating what we were looking at, since when focusing on two points on the hotels roof the light wasnt moving. So we decided to get in the car and decided to head SW in the direction of the light outside the city limits where the light pollution was less. It was odd because it was hazy/some cloud cover in the night sky and the stars werent many, and the ones that were visible in this parking lot werent that bright. So this light dominated the sky even in a well-lit parking lot and was rather big and round in appearance. We noted the time on the car clock as 7:58 p.m. (MT) when we got into the car.

We headed up Paseo Del Norte (road) heading West in my friends car. As my friend was driving we noticed planes flying in the sky and they were distinctly smaller, had the typical red and blue blinking lights, and less bright than this light which appeared stationary and unwavering in the night sky.

So, as my friend drove her car, I kept my eye on the light so as not to lose its orientation in the sky. The planes appeared to fly under or around the bright light, but it was the planes in the foreground and background that made it clear this wasnt an airplane. And as the planes moved, this light did not.

We stopped at a sharp curve in this road which is the perimeter to a local airfield (Double Eagle?). There are no streetlights at this point and this area is considered "behind the volcanoes" which, I guess, means something to you if youre from this area. (Its a dark area from which to view the Albuquerque "valley" and see the entire city from a terrific perspective.)

The photos I took are not really very good. These were taken with a Panasonic Lumix F 2.8 25-600 mm camera, which I had on me in a backpack for my visit with my friend and her family, as well as to capture our day outings in and around the Albuquerque area. The photos simply show a bright light. Its odd because there was no moon visible in the sky tonight and this object, to the naked eye changed colors to include flashes of bluish-green, red orange and yellow before descending below an apparent cloud cover, as the light lit up a layer of low clouds making the light a muted, warm orange, and making it apparent that this light was descending behind/below the cloud cover. Finally, even the warm bright light wasnt visible as even a muted light in the sky and we drove to my friends home in the Albuquerque area.

We thought maybe a weather balloon? Do they emit bright lights that appear constant? Did anyone else see this tonight? - MUFON.

UFO SIGHTING IN ELK GROVE, CALIFORNIA ON JULY 14TH 2013 - SAW TWO BRIGHT STAR-LIKE OBJECTS ABOUT 1/2 MILE APART MOVE TOWARDS EA OTHER, PASSED CLOSELY AND SLOWED THEN CHANGED SPOTS AND HOVERED AT OPPOSITE SPOTS

I went outside in our yard to walk our dogs before putting them to bed. I always star gaze because our sky is usually clear and I love seeing meteorites and shooting stars. I first noticed what I thought was a pretty large "slow" shooting star move from south (almost above my house) to east almost directly in line with me and stop. I continued to watch it and it wiggled a bit then went forward just a bit then stopped. I had a feeling like it was looking at me and tried to talk myself out of it. Then it started slowly moving toward the north and that's when I saw the second bright light that had been in the northern sky all along start moving toward the first light. I watched as they approached each other and slow as they passed each other almost stopping to hover. They were really close together. They paused just about 5 seconds then continued until they had changed spots with each other. I thought they might be planes and got worried when they headed toward each other. When they stopped at the opposite places I knew they were not planes or stars. I decided to lay down on the patio since my neck was getting stiff so I could watch them. At this point the first light was now in the northern part of the sky and the second one was just slightly to the east of me where the first one originally stopped about 1/2 mile apart. The two were bright white lights that seemed to flicker and brighten. They were too far up to see any details. I tried to figure out what they were, maybe satelites? Then while laying there I felt strange so I quickly got up and went into the house with the dogs. They were still flickering in those spots when I went into the house. Total time watching them was about 5 to 8 min I think. I don't know if they are still there but I wasn't going to look! I googled to see if any reports of unusual things or satelites in the sky but haven't found anything.
