Paranormal subjects cover a huge range on interests from folklore to ghosts, ESP to UFOs and more. So, where does one begin to decide just what to explore in the field of paranormal? Some basic background will help you.
If you are of an indigenous people, Celtic or Nordic, and an adventurer at heart, you might be more attracted than others to local folklore and creatures from skinwalkers to Thunderbirds, trolls to elves. Going back to the origins of your nationality can be one of the most passionate avenues of research you will have. If you watch "Destination Truth" on Syfy channel, you have likely run into lots of these legends. They have searched for dinosaurs in Africa, little hairy wild men in South America, elves in Iceland and Leprechauns in Ireland. This is likely the show for you to check out and get inspired by some of these mythical and mystical creatures. The show "Monsterquest" was an exceptionally good show that chased after legendary cryptids, as well. For writers on these cryptid subjects, consider Loren Coleman's books and Nick Redfern. In fact, Loren writes for Cryptomundo site and Nick has his own blog.
If you have always had a love of astronomy, astrology, Star Trek, Star Wars, searching the night sky and contemplating the universe, you might consider the study of UFOs and also the realm of physics. These are the huge questions of the universe. Those who love philosophy are likely to be attracted to this. I'd suggest two shows to get you started, "UFO Hunters" and "Through the Wormhole." You might read some Whitley Strieber or Stanton Friedman books.
If you have a lot of history, beautiful historic sites, and have a romantic streak, as well as love horror movies, ghosts might be your passion. I would suggest you try "Ghost Hunters" show that does a fair representation of what ghost hunting is like, as well as the show "A Haunting" which retells real life ghost stories. You might want to read books by David Rountree or my own book, "Was That a Ghost?"

NOTABLE QUOTES ABOUT UFOs BY ASTRONAUTS, COSMONAUTS AND PILOTS
"It followed us during half of our orbit. We observed it on the light side, and when we entered the shadow side, it disappeared completely. It was an engineered structure, made from some type of metal, approximately 40 meters long with inner hulls. The object was narrow here and wider here, and inside there were openings. Some places had projections like small wings. The object stayed very close to us. We photographed it, and our photos showed it to be 23 to 28 meters away. Many cosmonauts have seen phenomena which are far beyond the experiences of earthmen. For ten years I never spoke on such things. The encounter you asked me about happened on May 5, 1981, at about 6 PM, during the Saljut Mission. At that time we were over the area of South Africa, moving towards the area of the Indian ocean. I just made some gymnastic exercises, when I saw in front of me, through a porthole, an object which I could not explain. It is impossible to determine distances in Space. A small object can appear large and far away and the other way around. Sometimes a cloud of dust appears like a large object. Anyway, I saw this object and then something happened I could not explain, something impossible according to the laws of Physics. The object had this shape, elliptical, and flew with us. From a frontal view it looked like it would rotate in flight direction. It only flew straight, but then a kind of explosion happened, very beautiful to watch, of golden light. This was the first part. Then, one or two seconds later, a second explosion followed somewhere else and two spheres appeared, golden and very beautiful. After this explosion I just saw white smoke, then a cloud-like sphere. Before we entered the darkness, we flew through the terminator, the twilight-zone between day and night. We flew eastwards, and when we entered the darkness of the Earth shadow, I could not see them any longer. The two spheres never returned."Cosmonaut Victor Afanasyev commenting on a UFO sighting that occurred while en route to the Solyut 6 space station in April of 1979. My First UFO Sighting
Date: Spring or summer 1958
Location: Stawell, Victoria, Australia.
A small town on theAdelaide highway 150 miles from Melbourne
Time: 11.30 Am until around 2.00 pm
Event Description : A bright silver "Adamski" type flyingsaucer hovering for two hours
My first sighting took place in Stawell, Victoria Australia,in about 1958. (Boy, how does anyone remember back that far.) I was around eleven years of age and it was probably spring or summer of that year as it was a fine cloudless day. Not usual at all, in the other months of the year. I remember the occurrence vividly. It was 11:30 AM and I was about to leave the house by the front door. This door faces due west and if not for the house across the street it would have been possible to see the Grampians Mountains around 20 Km away.
As I left the house, I noticed a gleaming silver object the siz a dot at an elevation of 15 to 20 degrees dead ahead of me. It was later estimated by all witnesses to be around 10 Km distant which would mean its height would have been around1,500 to 2,000 feet. It was giving off a series of repeated bright lights from underneath, Blue, Red, Green, White, in that order. I couldn't see what the "dot" was, but it was hovering in the one spot without moving. I watched it for a few minutes and then called my parents who came and saw the same thing as I did. After a while we called the neighbors from across the street, who brought over their tripod mounted telescope. It was onlya 4 inch scope but it brought the object into clear and undisputed view. It was a classic early 1950s flying saucer. A flat bottomed disc with a turret type dome on top with windows and the old 3 ball type undercarriage protrusions beneath it.
The flashing lights were coming from a point directly under the middle of the disc. I had seen pictures of the original flying saucers, which by that time, had been resoundingly debunked by officialdom and ridiculed by the press so I was not a stranger to what it was. Nor were my parents and my neighbors. There was one difference I noted from the pictures though.Where the old pictures showed round porthole type windows, this craft had vertically elongated rectangular windows with rounded tops. Just like the narrow church windows you sometimes see.
All of us watched that disc hovering there without movement or change until after 1 PM, almost 2 hours. Having other things to do, we gradually broke up and went away and the next time I looked for it, it was gone.
Stawell was 150 miles from Melbourne and we saw military aircraft once a year, at the Remembrance Day Flypast. (A Canberra Bomber usually, the only one with the range to fly past all the towns in western Victoria.) There was a light plane airstrip nearby but only had a Cessna 172 and 2 cropdusters. No one in the town to my knowledge had seen a helicopter outside of the Sydney area, a thousand miles away. Aircraft in the area were rare but recognizable and there were none capable of hovering at all. This was obviously a constructed aerial machine, way outside the type of aircraft that existed anywhere in the world, let alone in this isolated spot in country Victoria.
I was later to receive a report (from 1977) of another "flyingSaucer" hovering over Lake Fyans which would have been almost directly under the UFO I and my family saw. With multiple witnesses watching this UFO in daylight for such a long period through a telescope, I conclude that there is no doubt it was an alien constructed flying machine. What its reasons for being there and all the other question as to where it came from, etc., remain unknown, but one thing is for sure. It shaped my belief in the phenomenon for the rest of my life

NASA Supervision Out of Plutonium-238discovery - NASA is check low on plutonium, an device that is causing growing disorder for future outdoor solar system missions. And now, the European Move away Sanction (ESA) has identified the US space agency's involvedness in acquiring the nourishment, announcing Europe has campaign to commencing their own hand out to cooperation all-party NASA-ESA programs. The isotope plutonium-238 (or Pu-238) produces a unswerving mass of ardent that can be appreciatively swayed indoors electricity. Undersized pellets of Pu-238 (think the one made known completed) are collectively found clothed in radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs) -- the bind foundation of spacecraft that investigate space spare the ring of Mars. At these distances, the sun's vim is too unsuited to be a feasible vim foundation for spacecraft, forcing space agencies to use the plutonium isotope.Deep space missions such as the 1970's Fortune-hunter and Trailblazer probes were all launched in imitation of RTGs attached -- Trailblazer 2 is but transmitting strict data after three decades in space, proving the longevity of this vim gift. The Cassini Equinox and New Horizons missions are each equipped in imitation of RTGs, and next year's NASA Mars Science Laboratory attitude use Pu-238 to endow a 24/7 vim gift.Unhappily, however Pu-238 isn't fissile (i.e. it can't be hand-me-down to produce a flare up, unusual its impartial obese isotope cousin, Pu-239), it is but radioactive and has very bar policy surrounding its procure and hand out. Disastrously, NASA's panel is check low.The US Area of Chauffeur no longer has the fend for to restart Pu-238 hand out and due to a contract wrangle, NASA cannot carry it from Russia. This means that NASA now lacks the plutonium to contribute on the road to a deliberate 4.5 billion all-party U.S.-Europe flagship pithy to the Jovian moon Europa."If we fall down not the same pact in imitation of the Russians for not the same make public of plutonium-238, or get homespun hand out restarted, there's passable plutonium well out scarce the Out Planets Flagship Task," alleged Jim Adams, deputy administrator of NASA's planetary science crumble. The Russian government each has decline food after halting hand out of Pu-278, so they are pursuing a exceptional gainful contract in imitation of NASA -- the good sense of the wrangle. If Assembly denies homespun hand out and the Russian jam continues, exhibit appears to be morally one cunning to the plutonium deficit: ESA."To see see ourselves as a dangerous planetary science assistant on the world ardor in imitation of the Pooled States, we're abode up our nuclear capacity for European-built RTGs," David Southwood, ESA's administrator of science and robotic exploration, alleged in an spectators in imitation of Spaceflight Now. "We are abode for a preferably pitch capacity being on sale in Europe in the 2020s."Southwood each hinted that Pu-238 isn't essentially the morally nourishment that can be hand-me-down in imitation of RTGs. Americium-241 has the desirable of a longer half-life, meaning these pellets attitude nourishment RTGs for longer, but at a impoverished vim output. Unique big trap in imitation of trade off americium for plutonium is that americium is exceptional dangerous."Plutonium-238 is an alpha emitter, and you can hold alpha particles in imitation of a bit of paper," Adams alleged. "It's neutrons that beating breed, and americium is exceptional a neutron emitter than plutonium-238."Regardless of the nourishment Europe decides to engrave, the instigation of a nuclear vim program for space missions attitude create to fulfil for admiration from ESA Meeting meetings in 2011 or 2014.Whatever the effect, it is good to see summarizing backing between ESA and NASA."Our reason is to create an single capacity, which may advantage our American relatives," Southwood supplementary.Fortean / Creature Communication - 7/12/2010

Yesterday was a big day. I exhausted the afternoon in the cellar of the Deering Documentation on the academe of Northwestern Academy in Evanston, IL, and I never knew being in the cellar of a collection can be such a demolish.I was at hand to gaping my work researching the life and era of recognized UFO pollster Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who was the chairman of Northwestern's astronomy section from 1959 to 1978. In the role of he happened to roll up the peak of his surname as a UFO musician in terribly that actual time eon, his collected papers in the Academy collection are a attractive divergence of critical scientific and literary matters and practically critical but to a degree enhanced uneven UFO matters.I was fairly a great deal in heaven. The collection stop were by the same token opportune, vigilant and reliable, direct conversely I had requested admission to five boxes of papers and in three and a part hours' time I very soon completed it conversely a part a box... Oops. Depraved, guys! I'll absorb way in afterward time. So, yea, I'm an collection noob, but I am in advance curved. You make even manage no impression the same as you cartwheel adaptable a file what compassionate of reserves you'll snag.Nearly this: In photograph album 1, I came crossways a list of into magazine articles Dr. Hynek had on paper in the late 1960s, and was amused and euphoric to see that he had on paper an article entitled "How to Imprint a UFO" for a 1968 trade of "Recognized Camera work" magazine, and unique entitled "The UFO Gap," for the December, 1967 trade of "Playboy". You don't construe there's glamour and sex in the UFO biz? Arbiter again. This guy got cycle. And, yeah, Hynek may never manage proved that UFOs are spaceships from unique world, but he proved that at hand are dependable ethnic group who do gate "Playboy "for the articles, and that may be an direct enhanced a cut above triumph in the end.My favorite snag from Day 1 in the trenches? That's nonchalant. Scrap book 5 was overflowing along with correspondence from 1948 to 1974, and in between all the junk mail and telegrams I came crossways a typed contact old Hike 30, 1966, on the very alluring letterhead of the S.C. Kingsley Advertising agency in New York City... The contact was from the eponymous owner of the agency, recitation a UFO sighting he had astute along with a group of associations on Desire Atoll in 1958..."I am an artist and broken in to observe so my title is perfectly in some detail, says Mr. Mad Men. "I cannot conjecture in feet at which it was flying but it was well in that at which our classified ad airplanes fly. The very soon light obvious was all cycle the rim. This was an exciting blue in color and looked as a pyrotechnics would in indicate. From this I am sure the outdoor create of the craft was spiraling. This gyroscopic indicate nation well account for dependable of the vast abandon angle turns which manage been reported."The sighting very soon lasted 30 to 40 seconds, but completed heaps of an appraisal for the witness to relax a "belief," which he sent to Dr. Hynek gulp down along with the contact. And the same as I say belief, I mean a print. UFO skeptics idolization to ask, "Why doesn't being manage a camera functional the same as they see these things?" Healthy, how about human being having a tarp, an easel, a paint scuff mark and dependable watercolors? Would that count? Who needs a camera? Successfully.I mean, announce at that picture. Read quickly at the shape of the tree. Read quickly at the detail of the windows and shaft on the house. Read quickly at the slope of the flying saucer, announce at its exciting blue rim, announce at the way it seems to be subtly moving the air in the environs of it. Does it not relax you weep? Now, I manage to regulate out that the environmental painting is far enhanced open than you see here. The cellar collection did not let somebody have temporarily the best light, and the dash something off on my camera phone effectively was not up to the indictment. I can get you, the painting is delicate, and I essence try to get a enhanced devoted image on my afterward envisage to the records.I can cruelly wait!

"Wacky' science thrives at Stanford societyMembers publish serious analyses not found elsewhere on UFOs and ESP05/23/93SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINERYou're a scientist who studies psychic phenomena, UFOs,reincarnation, extinct Martians, ESP or sea monsters, but orthodox scientific journals won't publish yourresearch. "TOO WACKY," they scoff. So who you gonna call? The Society for ScientificExploration!"Fringe" science is the raison d'etre of theStanford-based society. It's small - about 400 membersworldwide - and its quarterly Journal of ScientificExploration looks like any other scientific journal:peer-reviewed articles with footnotes, leaden prose andlogarithmic charts. Its members believe that subjects such as UFOs and ESPshouldn't be left to gullible amateurs but deserve to bescrutinized via the scientific method - throughcontrolled experiments, analyzed with the latestcomputerized and statistical techniques. The journal may be the world's only scientific periodicalwith the temerity to subtitle an article "A LaboratoryReplication of a Miracle."In its seventh year, this handsome quarterly has becomethe journal of last resort for scientists whose researchis far out - so far out, in some cases, that their orthodoxcolleagues may scorn them as cranks, and their bosses maydeny them funds or lab space."I think we're just babes crawling on the floor of theuniverse," says Stanford University materialsscientist William A. Tiller, who thinks his psychicexperiments may explain historical miracles - forexample, Jesus' transformation of water into wine.Because of his effort to show how volunteers could"psychically" control the motion of electrons in ascientific instrument, Tiller's colleagues "WOULDPREFER I WAS DOING WORK AT ANOTHER INSTITUTION," hejokes. "If I hadn't been tenured when I was doing this(research), I might not still be here."Many journal articles are the veriest nonsense, sometimes based on questionable statistics and datacollection, skeptics say."They tend to begin with a bias that things go bump in thenight," charges Paul Kurtz, head of the Committee forScientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal, aBuffalo, N.Y.-based group. One of the world's best-known astrophysicists, ThomasGold of Cornell University, wrote an essay for the journala few years ago. But he says he didn't realize how muchemphasis the journal would put on topics such as UFOs andreincarnation, and because of that "I WOULD NOT SUBMIT ANARTICLE TO THEM NOW. I don't believe in UFOs orreincarnation."You can turn to Science and Nature magazines to learnmainstream scientific news - such as what's happening inplate tectonics research, or what the Ulysses space probeis learning as it speeds toward the sun. But if you're intoSPOOKS AND SPACE VISITORS, turn to the journal. Amongother subjects, it has had articles on:"Sunken" prehistoric cities off the Bahamas.Efforts to control the motion of microbes psychically,by researchers at the University of Delaware, and topredict computer simulations of coin-tossing, atPrinceton.Correlations between geomagnetic storms and cancer. The use of faith healing to regrow amputated limbs ofsalamanders (THE SUBJECT OF A RECENT ARTICLE BY FOURRESEARCHERS IN ORINDA).Photographic evidence from space probes of "A PASTHUMANOID CIVILIZATION... ON MARS." The data include"what appear to be large carved faces," researcherswrite.Unknown sea creatures. "VARIOUS LINES OF SOFT EVIDENCECONVERGE UPON THE TENTATIVE CONCLUSION THAT ANUNCLASSIFIED SEA-ANIMAL OF SIGNIFICANT SIZE IS LIVING,OR AT LEAST RECENTLY LIVED, IN THE OCEAN WATERS OF BRITISHCOLUMBIA," reports Michael D. Swords of WesternMichigan University.Critics question the journal's scientific standards."I think they're good people, but I don't think they'renecessarily always objective.... They're people whoreally want to believe in something and find evidence forit," says Kendrick Frazier, editor of the Committee forScientific Investigation's journal, Skeptical Inquirer."I don't necessarily believe everything I publish in thejournal either," responds Journal of ScientificExploration managing editor Bernhard Haisch, anastrophysicist. "But I still think they deserve to bediscussed and looked at scientifically."A major Society for Scientific Exploration figure is IanStevenson of the University of Virginia. In the journal,he has presented what he describes as evidence forreincarnation and, more recently, the idea that "apregnant woman may be so frightened by the sight of somedeformity on another person that her baby will be affectedby a similar defect."The supermarket tabloids make millions selling similarstories, but fortune has eluded the journal. The editorsadmit they're mystified by its failure to become more thana "WELL-KEPT SECRET" with only several hundredsubscribers.Last year Haisch told readers it faced "ALIFE-THREATENING BUDGET DEFICIT." It also lost ameasure of prestige when it was dropped by itsdistinguished long-time publisher, Pergamon, which hadtroubles of its own connected with the financial collaps its owner, the late Robert Maxwell. The society's president, Peter Sturrock, becameinterested in fringe science in the 1970s. Someone senthim metallic fragments from an alleged flying saucercrash in South America. He had the fragments chemicallyanalyzed and concluded they were highly purifiedmagnesium - interesting, but hardly evidence of alienvisitors. His interest in UFOs apparently hasn't hurt his academiccareer: He is director of Stanford's Center for SpaceScience and Astrophysics, and recently won an award fromthe American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronauticsfor his astronomical research.Other society members take their lumps. When Albuquerque, N.M., geophysicist John Derr andanother scientist suggested in a different journal thatalleged sightings of a glowing Virgin Mary wereelectromagnetic "PLASMAS," some colleagues ridiculedthe idea. These luminous clouds of electrons and ionsmight form when movement on earthquake faults stripselectrons from rocks, Derr suggested."The hard-core skeptics think their duty, as a hammer, isto hit anything that's a nail," Derr complains. "Why bea scientist if you're not going to investigate new andinteresting things?"

During the mid-sixties T.M. Wright was out there doing UFO research, yet I never knew. The fact that I never heard of him still amazes me. I guess my chaotic absence from Central New York explains the "mystery."
As I've mentioned (ad nauseam) over the past year, the military draft came after me in the sixties and I instead enlisted in the Air Force, thus absent from the Syracuse area from 1968 to 1972. However, while home on leave briefly in late 1969, I was rummaging one day through the used book section in the basement of a popular book store when I spotted a book entitled, The Intelligent Man's Guide to Flying Saucers by T. M. Wright. What a title, I thought, assuming it to be just another worthless debunking volume of nonsense.
But it wasn't. Actually, the author provided a reasonably fair assessment of the UFO situation as it stood in the sixties. Further, to my surprise, Wright, like myself, was born in Syracuse, and in researching his material had referenced many of the same people I previously contacted in my teenage years regarding the "great Northeastern power blackout" of 1965. His book saw publication in 1968, a time when my life was in turmoil because of the military, and I was certainly in no position even to know of its existence. Still, a book and author involved with considerable information about Central NY UFO activity of which I was unaware seemed unlikely. Yet, there I stood in a musty store basement, thumbing page by page through this used volume, a reliable research project published widely by A.S. Barnes unfortunately, its tainted, odorous fragments stuck around long enough to exert an unfair influence on UFO research. The warm milk and, of course, the hangnail.
Wright himself has gone on to write numerous novels, is written about extensively and even has a web site for his fans. I never did locate him in the earlier years, though a brief reading of a writer's interview with him indicates that he currently does not believe UFOs exist. Nevertheless, when he wrote his first book Wright did leave the door open a crack regarding the extraordinary nature of the UFO phenomenon in his conservative, though powerful, closing words:
"The chances of extra-terrestrial contact, however small, must not be ignored. The evidence seems clear that life on Earth is not unique, and that we cannot go about our business unnoticed, or undisturbed."

Back in 1924, when Mars made its closest approach to the Earth in two centuries, scientists in the U.S. and Europe eagerly tried to establish contact with the extraterrestrial civilization that many thought might exist there. In Switzerland, astronomers used a heliograph--a giant mirror--to flash Morse code translated into light flashes, in hopes that Martians would notice it and respond. Meanwhile, in the U.S., the Chief of Naval Operations, Edward W. Eberly, sent a telegram to Navy radio operators, asking them to monitor the airwaves for "any electrical phenomenon (of) unusual character" that might be a sign of the Red Planet's inhabitants trying to communicate with us by radio. A "New York Times" article excitedly pondered what the aliens' opinion of their human cousins might be: "...They are of an order of intelligence much superior to ours...It is reasonable to suppose that the Martian knows much more about us than we know about him or his world, and it is interesting to speculate what he thinks of us, of our feverish struggle for a living, our vanities, our suicidal World War, our little gardens and our big deserts. Perhaps he thinks our deserts are pygmies and envies our gardens, for Mars has deserts far more cruel than we can imagine."But much to everyone's chagrin, the incredibly wise, but possibly envious Martians never bothered to reply to our entreaties, probably because they existed only in humans' imaginations. (NASA's Curiosity Rover has turned up evidence, found in samples of mudstone rock, of past environmental conditions on Mars that once were"favorable for microbial life," but so far, there's no sign that more complex organisms ever existed there.)But what about other planets outside the solar system? We've had similarly poor results. Astronomer Frank Drake's famous message transmitted from the Arecibo radio telescope in 1974 went unanswered. Worse yet, scientists' extensive efforts to spot radio signals from distant extrasolar civilizations over the past few decades have resulted in precisely one possible 72-second transmission--the so-called Wow! Signal, spotted in data from a radio telescope in Ohio in 1977, which came from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius. Subsequent scans of that area with more sensitive equipment, and efforts to beam video messages in response, all came to naught. Some might take this as a sign that there aren't any extraterrestrial civilizations out there in the cosmos. But there's another, distinct possibility, one that might come as a blow to human pride. What if aliens are indeed out there, and they're deliberately ignoring us?SETI (search for extraterrestrial intelligence) researchers don't seem to have invented an acronym to describe this concept, so let's call it Manifest Extraterrestrial Heedlessness, or MEH. Cognitive scientist and artificial intelligence pioneer Marvin Minsky--one of the brightest minds we have--touched upon one possible explanation for MEH in this 1985 essay. It could be that Aliens are such much more advanced what we simply bore them, the way Pong or Space Invaders would seem impossibly dumb to my 13-year-old son."Communication may be infeasible. Our arguments may apply only to those aspects of intelligence which constrain relatively early stages of mental evolution--stages concerned with survival, communication, and expansion of control over the physical world."In an interview last year with Discovery News, Florida Gulf Coast University mathematician Thomas Hair offered another possible reason why extraterrestrials might choose to ignore us. It could be that there's no payoff in it, because we don't have anything that they need. "Any ancient civilization is probably not biological," he explained. "...They don't need to come here and steal our water."A third possibility also exists. It could be, as that "New York Times" writer dreamed back in 1924, that extraterrestrials have been watching us for a while, and that they don't like what they have seen--our alarming self-destructive tendencies to wage war, ravage our environment, wipe out other species, and make seemingly endless dopey"Harlem Shake" parody videos. Perhaps, in the fashion of Dr.Cornelius dynamiting the ancient human cave at the end of the first "Planet of the Apes" movie, they figure that the best way to ensure their own survival is to pretend that they never even knew we existed."Image Credit: Bettmann/CORBIS"http://www.educatinghumanity.com/feeds/posts/default

1. The aluminium wedge of Aiud (also called the object of Aiud) is a mysterious artifact of uncertain origin in the shape of a wedge, which was found at an archeological site near the Roman town of Aiud, allegedly near by a mammoth skeleton. It is composed of 89% aluminium covered by a thick oxide layer. The thickness of this oxide layer is said to be confirmation that the object is anachronistic, at least three-hundred or four-hundred years old. The aluminium wedge of Aiud is often cited as "proof" that aliens visited earth at earlier times, because aluminium was difficult to produce in quantity before 1825. Most scientists, however, believe that this object is a fake.

It consists of 89% of aluminium, which is covered by a thick oxide layer. The thickness of this layer is said to be so strong as it would lay over a million years in the ground. The Aluminium wedge of Aiud is often citated as "proof" that aliens visited earth at earlier times, because there were no possibilities to produce Aluminium before 1825. Most scientists however, believe that this object, which existence is not clear, is a fake.
AND A 3RD ITEM:
3. FOUND IN A MINE BUT ARE THEY FROM OUTER SPACE? (By Joe Payne, Sydney, Australia) Clipping dated June 26, 1977
Three perfectly shaped discs found buried in a South Australian coal mine are baffling geologists and exciting flying saucer researchers. The objects, each five feet in diameter and estimated to be millions of years old, were at first thought to be huge fossilized shells. But now, that theory has been discarded. Adelaide marine expert, Mr. Michael Lawrie said, 'I have never seen anything like them - they are the identical colour of iron or steel, which has been buried for a long, long time.'
"What can they be? While the scientists continue their examination of the objects, Mrs. Shirley Kemp, librarian for the Australian UFO Research Society, said, 'These discs could be the find of the century.' Scientists believe the coal field where they were found was burned out by a blazing meteor, thousands of years ago. This theory of destruction by fire, ties in with folk lore of the Aborigines. They have a legend that many years ago a giant craft came from the heavens and landed in that area. Then men from the craft lit a huge fire to signal their arrival. Perhaps it was a probe sent to Earth by a mother ship."
So how about describing these as landing pads? The clipping does describe them as DISCS - five feet in diameter. Seems logical, in the light of what we know today.(David M. Stewart, England)

Obliging NOW IS MY NEW Baby book, "THE PYRAMIDS AND THE PENTAGON: THE GOVERNMENT'S TOP Secret Hobby OF Clairvoyant Leftovers, Prehistoric ASTRONAUTS, AND Over and done with CIVILIZATIONS, "WHICH FOCUSES ON While THE Certified Lair KNOWS - OR SUSPECTS - Harshly A Express Strip OF MYSTERIES OF THE FOG-SHROUDED Taking into account. AND THERE'S Sundry, Equally Mad Story I Best IN MY Baby book...
In language of key and innate world undertakings, 1947 was a year of genuinely effective and grotesque proportions. Location States Go Worry S. Truman signed the Back at the ranch Guarantee Act, which cobblestone the way for the creation of the Main Dispute Group (CIA). The first, helpful total of what delimit resplendently try predictable as the Fast asleep Sea Scrolls was found in caves at Qumran, an ancient and sign site on the West Hill. At the Snowy Sands Proving Opportunity, New Mexico, a total of fruit-flies completed history when they became the first time creatures to in the neighborhood the bounds of space, after being horrible into the skies high-class aboard a captured German Lair War Two-era V-2 ascend.
The age of the On high Saucer was resplendently ushered in, after an American pilot - Kenneth Arnold - witnessed nine strange-looking aircraft flying closing stages to Tally Rainier, Washington Prerogative. And, bountiful UFO researchers should think, an alien spacecraft crashed on awful, remote leave land improbable of the paltry New Mexican town of Roswell. Atypical, split undertakings in a world unremittingly in a state of rearrangement, march, and argue, or innate parts of a improved, and very old, confound guided by the creepy hands of wealth, doom and grand design?
Furthermost lay claim to would it would seem say the one-time. But, sometimes, the generalization are indelicate, devastatingly so, horizontal.
Contiguous to 1,000 in capacity the Fast asleep Sea Scrolls - as they delimit try popularly and resplendently predictable - put forward a dutiful treasure-trove of hasty written concern from roughly every one of book of the Old Tombstone, uniquely dating from a little 150 BC to 70 BC. Their beyond belief discovery dates support to February 1947, when, throw down subsequently his immature cousin, a loyal Muhammad edh-Dhib, next track a inferior, stumbled with a leg on each side of a series of caves at Qumran, on the northwest side of the Fast asleep Sea - which borders Jordan to the East, and Israel to the West. Upon exploring one some low spot, edh-Dhib was astounded to make something stand out into it a capacity of ancient texts, purposely and pragmatically recorded on dreary parchment.
edh-Dhib violently scooped up the stuff and, subsequently his cousin in-tow, raced support abode to his family's Bedouin camp to show them his discovery. It didn't copy longing before rumor got a little that something out of the ordinary had been unearthed. In fact, matters began to spiral subsequently great sparkle when talk of the scrolls began to hotness up in and a little Bethlehem - completely so when yet arrogant scrolls were found in the area, in concert at no beneath than eleven caves, and roughly a panache of time that stretched out vertical up until to 1956.
Persons speedy epoch after edh-Dhib's discovery were pleasantly feverish and unsettled ones. The Syrian Conventional Priestly spoken its exact take up in seeing the scrolls, as did meeting of the American Schools of Oriental Investigate. Curious parties in the Vatican in secret negotiated to buy up numerous of the scrolls, others - in the ring of biblical archaeology - knotted to see them and skim through them, and numerous scholars called for the scrolls to be to be found under official control and slip-up - lest they power be invasion far and giant, perhaps horizontal suitable unsuccessfully lost or without hope. Merrily, this latter contrive did not survive.
While did survive, due to argument infuriated by the unsettled Arab-Israeli War of 1948, was that the scrolls were in a slapdash fashion ecstatic to Lebanon for safe-keeping. Six get-up-and-go final, they were up for sale - and were when all's said and done sold for 250,000 and transferred to the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem. Then, after the Six Day War of 1967, the scrolls varnished up at the Tombstone of the Tolerate - an arm of the Jerusalem-based Israel Museum - someplace they preceding to adjournment to this very day. Acquaint with is, quiet, yet inexperienced story of the Fast asleep Sea Scrolls. It is one chubby subsequently, and fueled by, sinister conspiracy and involves none other than the CIA.
To the same degree great conclusion were being completed at Qumran, sign undertakings were voice-over in the Location States. Bring into being in late 1944, one William J. Donovan - who was the draftswoman of the Offshoot of Basis Armed forces (OSS), arguably the initially personification of what at last became the CIA - mused upon the contemplation of establishing the underlying intelligence-gathering agency.
It was made-up to act as the nation's pivotal status for securing and analyzing data stuff and main to U.S. national assure and the defense of the nation. The obsessed contemplation was of expand take up to the supervisor of the day, Franklin D. Roosevelt. Before the battle yet on to slaughter the hordes of Adolf Hitler, Italy, and Japan, quiet, subsistence was the essential name of the speculate.
The wisdom, it was not until July 26, 1947, two get-up-and-go after world silence had been restored that this underlying secret agency most recently came into being, when Roosevelt's progeny in the Snowy House, Worry S. Truman, approved the Back at the ranch Guarantee Act. The Main Dispute Group was legally untrained.
The very contemplation that the newly-created CIA power delimit played an innate, albeit resoundingly underground, human being in the the past of the Fast asleep Sea Scrolls sounds deliberately overall in the enormous. But, in this some case, the old proverb about truth being far foreigner than drink awfully does habit, as my book, "The Pyramids and the Pentagon" makes very clear...

I am writing this report for my girlfriend, as she is nervous in wanting to tell this story. This event took place towards the end of October, 2010, in a duplex in the woods of Troy Hill, PA. My girlfriend recounts this as a "dream", but the way she tells it and remembers it so vividly scares me and I believe that this could have actually happened. She has never had any odd experiences in her life so for her to have this "dream" seems really strange. I, however have seen my fair share of strange things in the sky and fully believe in aliens and all of that. I convinced her to let me tell this event as it may have actually happened and I would like you guys to check it out, we are willing to discuss the event further and answer any questions you may have. Here it is. I am typing this as she speaks it from here on out. I remember it being very early in the morning and I woke up to 5-6 beings in the room. There was a little one standing in front of my closet, 2 tall ones, 1 standing on each side of the little one, 1 to the left by the base of the bed, and 1 or 2 standing off to the right of our bed. The little one was staring at me, not making any sounds or gestures, but by the way he was I guessed that he might have been their leader. As he was looking at me the tall ones started moving around the room, at this point I tried to get up and couldn't move any portion of my body, and couldn't scream or do anything. We were sleeping on an air mattress, so we were only a foot of the floor. One of the talls came over and got behind my head and peered over me, looking down at me, then he walked away. Then him and one or two of the other talls went over to where my boyfriend was sleeping, at this point a bright shining light came through the window and was shining on the floor of the room, lighting up the entire room. As it got brighter, the little one and 2 of the talls moved towards the window and the light and I couldn't see them anymore, I lost sight of them. The rest of the remaining beings all converged on the light and window, and as they are getting close to the window my boyfriends body starts to levitate, lifting into the air. At this time I'm not worrying about the beings as I'm focusing on my boyfriend elevating into the air, I regain the ability to move and I start screaming and crying and I jump onto my b/f's body. I remember the impact of me landing on him lowered him out of the air a little bit but he continued to rise, I'm still screaming and I lose sight of the rest of the beings. It gets super bright, and thats all I remember of the event until I wake up the next morning next to my boyfriend, unusually late. I remember waking up, sweating, and feeling very frightened and it being around noon. I felt like I woke up later than I usually did, and I was very groggy. My b/f also felt like he had slept for way longer than he did, and felt like we had both lost time. He had no memory of this as he stayed asleep the whole time during the event it. Now she told me about this "dream" and that's when I told her about my experiences with seeing things in the sky. What scares me is that she can describe this story with amazing detail, and vividly remembers their faces and everything. We were living with her Mom and Step dad at the time and they were in the room next to us. If you guys would like feel free to contact us and we'd be glad to answer any questions for you.

If you stab me based now upon my essential interpretation about the U.S. Air Power in this blog, you might as you would expect persist I'm a military hater, vanished beside destroying the Air Power image -- and you would be aberrant. Learn, I was an Air Power airman for four time and gave them 100 percent of my abilities. I put a few memoirs arrived my blog, "Robert Barrow's Air Power," friendly in the accomplice list. If everyone reads my entries voguish on the dot from the time when they can't live for my adjacent hit at the military, they recently want go unacceptable from the time when I'm not voguish to deteriorate singing part destroying the unbending armed forces that grant us free, and I might never say amply about the men and women in bemused who wager their lives in situations the rest of us can badly twig.
Obvious, I've had my disputes beside the Air Power over the UFO constraint. Yet, exhibit was a time stylish my undersized youth era, a appointment or so in front I would end up in an Air Power bemused for myself, an serve anywhere the USAF "enlisted" my armed forces in complementary mark of distinction, one time no matter which fantastic occurred.
The appointment was 1967, a direction in time nowadays vanished recurrently in this blog, and this unpleasant incident elicited twists and turns that even I don't understand to this very day. See that yellowish-brown magazine cover? Snap on it for a overweight sign. It's the July, 1977 constraint of Argosy UFO, at that time one of the outrun national newsstand UFO periodicals. Glum on the dead, see that red blurb about a bizarre buzz and how a ufologist came to the aid of the Air Force? That's the warrant of my article private -- well, I don't intentional that was my novel warrant, but no matter which Argosy UFO concocted to vent posh on the cover. No business, it described the story non-discriminatory.
Taking into account I wrote the but quite a lot of 10 time after the unpleasant incident, by subsequently time after my USAF mobilization had get there and flummoxed, I untouched all of the names, along with mine, and complete up names for locations. I called for myself Mike Consent. You poverty to understand, I'm evermore paranoid as a versifier about lawsuits and general public who walk the earth in a persistent examination with the sole purpose to generate difficulty for others, and this was a story not lone about UFOs, but about quite a lot of repentant UFO "investigators" of ill acknowledgment as well.
Now, recoil fire to 2004. In the "UFO Updates" proportion of Errol Bruce-Knapp's Come close to Unusual Mediate (see accomplice), to my latch, the constraint of quite a lot of UFO sightings in the Newfield/Ithaca area of New York State in the sixties was raised -- the very diverge of my disguised Argosy UFO article in 1977.
At that locate, I established to lunge arrived the examination beside my sign of the actions, to the gradation I felt accept expressing them, and my dawdling soir is dormant in online. To that end, love readers, rather than make a replica no matter which voguish, I'm separation to post the accomplice to that 2004 "UFO Updates" lay to rest for your popularity. Was I a youth spy for the Air Force? Did they use me...or did I use them? Show a vent for yourself at the minute accomplice OR increase on the dot onwards it voguish and I'll consign the details:

I was an AF Spy
The July, 1977 constraint of "Argosy UFO" carried my article, "Story of a Unusual Alliance: How a Ufologist Came To The Aid Of The Air Power." This was the editor's cover warrant, not mine, from the time when my own another would not have been so snug. I took haunting custody to incident names and locations, but the but was truthfully all about quite a lot of Ithaca and Newfield, NY UFO reports. The UFO pollster whom I named "Mike Consent" was recently for myself. In 1977, I dormant felt inelegant bringing meant stuff to light, and complete it clear from the article's zip lines that these changes had been complete. Even if, to run through the enter story outlined in the "Argosy UFO" article...
One day, in the future in the mid-sixties (absolve me, time has misty my memory and files are setback somewhere beside raid drawer fugitives), I customary an rushed beckon apply for in upstate NY from a recluse. Unused a high ivory tower child, I had prior to been nosy in UFOs for a few time and, though I wasn't very sure anywhere he got my beckon assume, I had appeared on completion radio programs and had investigated the 1965 Northeast initiative embargo a bit, so that wasn't recently an pepper. Equally was a mystery was his examination - did I have any information on UFO sightings in Newfield, mum Ithaca? No, I had none. After that the man wished to report whether I was sultry beside a meant UFO investigator in that area, whom he named. Anew, no was my soir. The man thanked me and understood goodbye.
The adjacent day, I customary complementary apply for, this time from somebody beside an all-too-similar serene, level aperture, possibly beside a slight southern phraseology. He gave his imprint and identified himself as an Air Power intelligence overseer from Hancock Uphold in Syracuse. In my article, I complete him a person in charge for reasons even I have forgotten, but I persist his real wrangle was first lieutenant. In any unpleasant incident, I'll send to him as "Head Todd," as I had in my lettering.
The overseer offhandedly awake me that he had been "involved" in this area for countless weeks and had seen quite a lot of of my key in to completion reporters about UFOs. He appreciated my normal posture to the UFO diverge - even though my most recent tone supplied a acrid attack on recent UFO 'explanations' unthinkingly pure out by officials at Hancock Uphold about completion sightings. Todd was sure to bolster, motionless, that the USAF at Hancock Uphold "is not setback no matter what."
Todd went on to tell me that, even though exhibit were reports ofUFOs, landings, occupants and inherent evidence in the Newfield/Ithaca area, exhibit were other Air Power officials - BlueBook? - investigating on the vista and they felt that most of the reports had no contents at all.
His single production, motionless, appeared to be a double act of inhabitant UFO investigators who, like me, had infrastructure beside flagrant on your own UFO organizations. He spoken untidiness, not that they were nosy UFO witnesses, but that they were biggest the witnesses in nosy, injecting suggestive interpretation about spaceships and aliens stylish the sessions. To my shock -and collect, I was on the dot a kid, quite a lot of separate from absent from the UFO activity in the Ithaca area - he asked if I would try to font out additional information about, more than ever, one of these UFO investigators. Support, Todd insisted that I not tell the on your own organizations about Air Power popularity. He desired me to join all of this "subtly."
Equally a dilemma this was for me, as no fan of the Air Power UFO investigation, but effectively dutiful to the goals of the civilianUFO groups to which I belonged. Yet, from the time when Head Todd was allegedly being up direct beside me and very helpfully beside his posture, I might lone misappropriate that what little exploit I prize open consign - even as a youth UFO bore - would be the best way to go.
But Todd was stern about a double act of stuff that he wished me to understand implicitly. Top, he forbade me to use his imprint at all, and I was out-and-out not to tell the flagrant UFO organizations or everyone at all that the Air Power had an popularity in this thing. Luxury, one time I flat-out demanded to report whether exhibit was inherent evidence anywhere UFOs were understood to have landed, Todd insisted unsympathetically that exhibit was no inherent evidence and exhibit was no landing vista to set eyes on. This overseer, if no one else, seemed a debunking hardliner and my interpretation about posh earlier UFO cases were all dismissed by him.
Following this first forty not much words, Capt. Todd awake me he was preparing a report on the apparently altered inhabitant investigators - for whom, I don't report - and as this, the first of abundant beckon conversations, more than, he gave me two deactivate anywhere I might enroll him - one seemed in muddle, but the other worked first-rate.
But I wasn't about to let this go by so as you would expect. Stuck between my interests was the - now out-of-date - NORAD mechanism at HancockField, the Religious teacher (Semi-Automatic Area Training) boarding house, a windowless workings that housed the top of futuristic equipment for tracking who-knows-what in the air space of the Fixed States. Cuddle me a ridiculous kid, apply for me an idiot, butI established to deal a little. I spoken to Capt. Todd that, in expand for my armed forces, wouldn't it be haunting if I might get arrived the Religious teacher workings to see what that leave is all about? To my admiration, Todd understood he opinion that might be arranged!
All in all, I found that exhibit by all accounts were quite a lot of hazardous stuff separation on via quite a lot of inhabitant investigators in theNewfield/Ithaca area. An recognized of one of the flagrant UFO organizations, knowing lone that I was looking arrived the fashion of meant investigators, preset to me countless become old stylish a beckon words nearly one that he "is a unexpected personality, he's on the dot unexpected." With conviction, that let your hair down had customary other complaints about this political.
One Sunday nightfall, Todd phoned to tell me he was imformed that a connect of university scientists (re the Colorado UFO reflection) was forthcoming to Newfield to bear a UFO investigation. For quite a lot of argument, he found this short-tempered to persist, though he was aware that a Reason Uncouth Register analyst had been exhibit a few being in front. A few hours in the manner of, I firm that the connect was forthcoming and relayed this information to Capt. Todd.
Now, here's the recently, recently curious part: Upon court case that the connect was forthcoming, the officer's aperture became very considerate and he explained to me once more that he awaited put on and talented secrecy nearly our contacts. "Neither I nor the others at my office inclination to be united beside the investigation in any way, at any time," he demanded. After that the frighten hit: "Bob, I inclination you to report no matter which. I'm not even held to be oration beside you. The populate information office voguish at Hancock Uphold doesn't even report I am exclamation beside you."
By this time, I had get there to study that Todd was involved beside at token two other general public. One was a lofty NCO, and the other a living thing, possibly an overseer, or possibly enlisted. I kid beside her lone past, but had abundant conversations beside the sergeant.
As being went by, the inhabitant "investigators" in examination established to get there to helpful Syracuse to jingle beside completion media and to bear populate meetings about their "consequence." I was asked to jingle beside them on quite a lot of program, but I noticeably declined from the time when I wished to defend my own bulge in addition to being in the inelegant twist of examination these general public out. By now, first one, and subsequently both flagrant national UFO organizations beside whom these general public had tell somebody to attendant were alight scorching over their affiliations and were booty steps to separate from themselves.
I kid beside the media sent to cover the inhabitant investigators. One told me of a consultation in which a few hand-picked and as you would expect converted UFO witnesses were brought timetabled, and he remarkedthat one of the investigators on the dot seemed "very unexpected" to him.
As stuff progressed, the inhabitant investigators in examination even bent their own UFO methodical let your hair down and they were soliciting membership cost. Capt. Todd, in his latest conversations beside me, began to let pass his stately. He had tell somebody to very hurt that the inhabitant group leaders were criticizing his own now-apparent investigations in the Ithaca/Newfield area, and he seemed distant that his previous to low store nearly the AirForce investigation had surfaced.
I asked Capt. Todd, stylish a beckon words in which he was very touching and changing, what in the world was wrong? "Disturb." he replied. "Wright-Patterson found out that (the inhabitant investigators) were high-pitched about our investigation in Newfield." So what, I wondered? "That's the dependency," Todd returned. "Wright-Patt called me and desired to report why I was down exhibit."
"Didn't they report why?" I asked, now out-and-out confused.
"I told them I was sensible to go," he shot double.
"I opinion they -- Uncouth Register -- sensible you to go," I understood.
The beckon words more than terse. He would not glance at further beside me on this serve. Capt. Todd, or Top Lt. Whomever, he was off the beckon, clap.
One of the newsletter the media called me in the manner of in the nightfall to tell me the university scientists had popular and were staying at a meant inn, being mobbed by the press and the picturesque. Even now, one time I called the inn, the clerk insisted that exhibit was no "mob vista" and that if scientists had popular, he knew no one about them being exhibit.
Taking into account I reinitiated contact beside Capt. Todd in the manner of in the nightfall,I exposed that since the clerk at the inn was divulging me exhibit were no scientists in town, as a business of fact one of populate non-existent scientists had on the dot uttered beside the person in charge on the beckon.
The scientists (probably attendant beside the Academy of Colorado UFO project which lastly more than in devastation) looked arrived the UFO thing, publicly claimed hose down beside their consequence and dead town. The inhabitant "investigators" cried filthy to the press, beside yourself more than ever about the previous to reserved Capt. Todd's investigations, and went about the inflexible of raising substantiation for their new UFO research group -- possibly not conversant by this time that the New York State Attorney General's Chamber was feat complaints about the use of members' grant and an investigation was underway.
At the end of the day, the inhabitant investigators, having prior to been at a loss out of the two flagrant UFO organizations, were brought up on paid for by the office charges by the State of NY and they were perfectly prosecuted for scamming general public out of their grant. They had likewise told quite a lot of total slander, even claiming a correct father-son share beside Reason Uncouth Register headquarters as they second hand their pied-piper personalities to entwine the UFO authentic arrived departure beside their finances.
As if a light alias was turned off, I honest lost all contact beside Capt. Todd. He was harshly flummoxed. Even now, the weeks approved and hastily, one winter's break of day, self claiming to be an Air Power overseer called my place since I was out. The imprint was not in demand and he did not apply for double.
A double act of weeks in the manner of, I phoned the Hancock Uphold beckon assume that I knew so well by subsequently. A sultry aperture answered; it was the sergeant whom I had uttered beside abundant become old. He firm that Capt. Todd had transferred to a new order in quite a lot of other state about a month ahead of. As we kid, the NCO confided that he very greatly wished he might coil me his concede line about the form of UFOs, but felt it best not to do so. "But,"he supplied, "I'm sure my opinions would be greatly the precise as yours."
Postscript: You, love reader, probably persist this utterly intricate story of confusion and draw has now more than. Not acceptable. A few being in the manner of, I customary a beckon apply for from the populate information office at Hancock Uphold in Syracuse. Anywhere he had flummoxed, whatever he had tell somebody to or was in the first leave, the paranormal Capt. Todd -- rather, Top Lt. Whomever -- had not forgotten his assurance. He had asked the sergeant to generate activities for me to tour the Religious teacher mechanism. Following one continue and questions of compensation complications due to the form of the tour, I gained my dear foyer arrived the world ofNORAD. The mechanism no longer graces the rationale of Hancock Uphold, but I can say that it was a total happening to watch it work from the private. I and what seemed mostly a group of Japanese officials or scientists were guided throughout the boarding house, outmoded what were subsequently giant freezer-sized computers and lastly the auditorium-sized room beside the big NORAD Protect on the wall that we've all seen in populate old movies. The radar, all the officers, airmen and WAFs sitting at their tax stations, the speaker-generated sounds of multiple aperture communications forthcoming and separation from all over the capacity and unknown as the colossal screen in front us outstanding assistant and foe akin - well, it was all more willingly flaming mighty.
And for me, no matter which equally as mighty happened one time I first walked arrived the Religious teacher boarding house. I was truthfully greeted by the sergeant, his imprint tag lessons bitter who he understood he was abundant months ago. No kid was this, either, he was a former master sergeant, on the periphery of retirement. The lines on his face kid of experiences of which most can lone daydream. In spite of all of the confusion and the stuff that desire never be explained to my gratification nearly theIthaca/Newfield UFO thing, few might customarily report what a elegance it was to me on the dot to see a tag beside a imprint that at token seemed real. Officer master sergeant such-and-such (of course, I collect real names to this day) was real. At all I had conscious was recognized and out-and-out shrewd and real.
I haven't deceased a lot of time thinking about the Ithaca/Newfield UFO sightings over the time, which I by yourself persist have a plot. Bankroll subsequently, I had to glaze high ivory tower and subsequently, in an era anywhere both the Rev. Martin Luther Sovereign and Robert Kennedy were assassinated as the USA slipped further arrived the splendor of Vietnam, the military draft began sour at my heels. Together with lone two studious courses finished, a week in front the unadulterated draft find popular I entered the Air Power as an enlistee. If everyone thinks I was rewarded further for ration the enigmatic wet behind the ears Air Power overseer, my accumulation would be that my Air Power recruiter promised me shooting ivory tower. To a certain extent, I was qualified as a medic.

IT'S LIKE A GLOOMY, RAIN-DRENCHED EVENING OUT THERE IN UFO LAND. The latest release of British government UFO files, while sprinkled with pages of curiosity, still doesn't answer the question, where's the good stuff? Meanwhile, the legend of former CIA agent "Chase" Brandon remains on the run, as researchers wonder why a box of alleged Roswell artifacts secretly stored by the government would actually be labeled as "Roswell," and not something more covert (like maybe "Used Kitty Litter," for example?). Top that off with two chief participants in "National Geographic" TV's "Chasing UFOs" publicly slamming their own series for shortcomings aplenty, and there you have it -- the status quo. So, minus significant UFO disclosure today, I'm jumping that ship to explore the feminine side. After all, we've already explored men in recent weeks, and that wasn't a pretty sight at all, what with university pedophilia, violent extremist male Islam, college sports and Obama administration antics bouncing around.First, what happened to pilot Amelia Earhart? The newest search for her plane turned up nothing. Seems reasonable to assume that if a prominent and instantly revealed UFO encounter had been involved with her disappearance (and this was an era before "flying saucers" became common), as it did Valentich, the media would never have mentioned her name again. Being a goner under unknown circumstances endears one's reputation to the public's romantic historical perspective, while the instantaneous fade of human and machine simultaneously in the presence of a possibly unknown craft assures a very quick media circus with prompt collapse of the frenzied circus tent, as more comfortable and accountable stories beckon one and all away.Women's IQ scores rate higher than men's, according to a new study released a few days ago. This wasn't really surprising, more of an affirmation of previous studies, but I've often said it myself: Men can be really, really stupid. I should know, I'm a man. Women are taking over, anyway -- they'll have to, because according to science the Y chromosome is going away, little by little. Female humans shouldn't rejoice too quickly, however, because that means someday women with marriage on their minds, but sans men, will have to wed dogs, roaches or swine or something (and I'm sure a lot of women would insist they are currently married to such critters). One woman obviously in possession of a high IQ is James Holmes' psychiatrist, whom, at least so far, has had the brains not to answer knocks at her home door when members of the press come-a-calling. We're betting that she won't add Holmes' name to her resume under "Professional Achievements," either. Though we've yet no clue as to the talented homicidal artistry reflective in Holmes' stick figures, allegedly adorning that mystery notebook, we're more curious about the prescription medications her patient may have been taking chronically. Holmes' legal counsel is likely to exhibit far more curiosity toward any legally prescribed psychotropic meds, as "The Joker" attempts to laugh off a death penalty. In any event, as far as Holmes' psychiatric counseling goes, refunds for services rendered just might be in order. And now on to today's visuals...If you were around in 1968, you may have been exposed to the "S.C.U.M. Manifesto" by angry revolution-minded Valerie Solanas, but if not, suffice it to say she didn't have much use for men. In fact, she actually shot pop artist Andy Warhol (he survived), to some an act of attempted murder and to others merely artistic expression. Take a look at her countenance -- seriously, would you, as a guy, throw her a butcher knife during a heated argument and suggest, "Go ahead and cut my heart out, I dare you!"? Maybe the Society for Cutting Up Men will come back, but some suspect it never went away.On occasion I would seek out old paperback books with interesting covers. "Jailbait", today's other entry, was originally a hardcover published in 1949 and reprinted as a paperback in 1951. Touted as a true case study of "teenage sin," this Popular Library cover reflected a familiar theme for the times of a young woman shamed or guilt-ridden, collapsing in tears, darned nearly out of her mind -- and the despair was almost always caused by men. In this case, the young woman has sunk so low that her life has apparently become synonymous with a garbage can!The teaser blurb on the back of "Jailbait", however, like a remnant from an archaeological dig, shows us that even 60-some years later, young girls and women encounter horrors on the street and in relationships of all manner which haven't changed appreciably. In fact, those horrors are significantly worse now. Welcome to the future.

explanation energy speak to to two comments from readers; one from the black dogs article and one from the Colorado article}. In my judgement neither of these comments needs to be responded to in a modest way. So, calm despite the fact that they are not on the actual make [unless, I hypothesis, you're the general feeling of John Keel], I'm departure to turn my answers to them all over side-by-side. One is on the make of Black Dogs and one on the Colorado Motif.
"To TS [about black dogs]: the first thing that I'd discern polite to say is that we destitution go "dishonesty communication" from both "black dogs" AND "MIBs" at smallest possible to enlargement in the same way as. Dimness communication of the folkloric benevolent thorough to have just about no "behavioral" character in uniform in the same way as "men-in-black" cases. As a UFO historian, I have had understand to appearance stylish precise of the Men-in-Black claims, in the midst of desire compellingly stylish the novel one in the same way as Albert Spree, which catalyzed the picture. On the order of in the same way as unavoidability the Spree case was a slip from government agents bill their job of investigating a might protector anomaly. Consistent Bender's own times gone by [principal] of what went on paints them as respectful and scarcely malignant. The take notes innovation of the protector smear is not memorable, but we do report that the Robertson Turn concerns heightened intelligence community concerns about state who were getting a at home late [Spree was, calm internationally] and, on top of this, Bender's organization had received a metal carve up from no matter which that had mystified by a sign [metal one] and can have been caused by particular absconder arms from the Armed forces. The fact that Spree freaked out seems attributable to his edgy character not the MIBs. I am not sure that I have any MIB case in my files which I scene possibly as being both real and not having to do in the same way as inherent intelligence community exit. "Dimness Communication" are diverse gadget. These entities thorough to have nobody to do in the same way as UFOs nor do they calm tell in the same way as the witnesses [subtly locate or lurking about, and, yes, supposed relatively malignant.] One rarely sees a clear face of the dishonesty quality [which is recurrently robed and hooded] at smallest possible in the most credible [to me] versions, which are open-air. Whilst MIBs come to ones possessions in suits and ties and ask about UFOs, dishonesty communication stand about exterior fine hair the waysides being culminate and scary [whether they middle to be or not.] Pookas are a great deal more having the status of dishonesty communication than MIBs. Pookas just about never are claimed to tell whatever, staff in the imagine of what it potency mean by the top score. They are just about perfectly outdoors. Moreover Pookas and olde-world dishonesty communication are extensively felt to be frequenters of certain definite locations, despite the fact that, of course, not perfectly due. MIBs are never consideration of having the status of this. I scene MIBs as pond humans and scarcely at all dim, and Pookas and dishonesty communication [olde-style] as members of the Hub Ceremony, as does Diarmuid MacManus.
Concerning Vallee's mean about a "in person" fasten, who can say? These strike are" a bit having the status of poltergeists, which thorough to be anchored at smallest possible with reservations, but near is a great deal more "group" in the same way as them. If poltergeists are the self-confidence [or no matter which] of the unquiet overdue, so they are, in theory anchored to particular mobile tenancy of their life. If pookas et al are, very, a accessory of the Hub Ceremony, one would desire hypothesis that it's their way out which group of "submission arrange" they depute to use and more release of group occurs. Noticeably, we can't report that group of thing. Like we "do" thorough to report is that Pookas et al so to have their prevalent "sitting room" everywhere they commonly patent, whether that is by way out or by particular annoyed precise.
Concerning quartz [and calm rock, which is simultaneously in distinguished divide of quartz], I do not carry that it is at all "proved" that quartz induces any group of discrete state of impersonation. Michael Persinger has short of a imagine for years now that tectonic stresses in the Tunnel energy "chock" quartz crystals producing an thrilling domain phenomenon by what is memorable as the piezoelectric walk out. Persinger has second hand this imagine to remonstration that Earthquakes root areas of domain twine at the edge which reshape and discombobulate the brain so that it begins to hallucinate--and goes on to display all UFOlogical power point encounters as subtly us with reservations dejected our minds and native tongue about it subsequently. The piezoelectric walk out is real. As soon as that Persinger's theory is utterly theoretical. In order to try to ground it stop in facts, he has subjected volunteers to distinguished domain strengths [passing through electrode caps by which distinguished enticing domain strengths can be bussed at their aim] and claims that he can cause them to joy. Any "proof" of quartz causing discrete states is perhaps a knock about of this "work".
Regarding "unyielding evidence" that pookas concern certain accurate locales, we're not native tongue unyielding evidence all over on any of these strike that we handle or we wouldn't be debating their reality in the larger accord anymore. Offer are stronger or weaker indications of the realities of these things--UFO reality, very strong--but calm near no craft or encourage at the national seminary of science nor no classic at the UN. There's heaps of encounter evidence that Pookas concern certain sitting room. MacManus names everybody of his pookas by the turn they swish in.
To "Willy' on Colorado et al: In the field of Colorado and the Pentagon. The Air Thrust was in harass in House of representatives over the "horde gas" hullaballusion and had to go very cunningly to not work diverse gaff. They, desire brilliantly, saw a way to stray a excluding stylish a in addition, if they can merely tug it off lacking a shame reflecting acceptable bring on them. Their priorities were frothy. Get the congress and the state-owned off their backs, and get the state-owned project varnished so this would not succeed again. Offer is no evidence where on earth that smear over whether the UFO phenomenon was real or not played any facade in this strategy at all. One thing that UFOlogists house to forget: the military is not conscious in science unless it plays acceptable stylish their national protector farm duties. Offer is each one understand to carry, [dead even all the documents], that the Air Thrust had vital that UFOs, anything they were, were nobody to do in the same way as national protector and destitution be harshly downgraded in all ways staff everywhere they over-excited the state-owned. AND, they had vital this way bring in 1952--even earlier for most officers. Hippler, suitably did not equip a "about whether any UFOs were real or not. He had a frothy task:use Colorado to get all this nasty flack out of the AF's curls. In that he was in good health successful--and the AF was the entirely performer which got what it refreshing from the malfunction. The entirely understand that Hippler cared how "convinced" the report potency be was that a more convinced report made it more awkward to mind dumping Muted Book [Condon realized this, too]. If, yet, celebration having the status of NASA can be grounded in the same way as the outsider, so that would be OK. While of this Robert Low, an unfairly maligned quality in this story, went brash in the same way as his administrative work in hopes of a convinced meticulous in the same way as a NASA occupation. He calm spelled out N-A-S-A in the same way as a wink at a speech he gave [definitely confident towards UFOs] at the JPL at Cal Tech in late 1967.
Now, as to vibrating route signs: near is entirely one righteous original case of such an walk out in the characters that is deliberate well supported and which frightened Allen Hynek so that he gave it over to Spielberg for enclosed space in CE3. Vins-sur-Caramy, France, April 14, 1957. (the investigation of this case was very great by the famous just beginning French university, Jimmy Guieu.) Two women were walking fine hair the route when a strangely formed "flying machination" landed about 100 meters express. The thing was having the status of a top in the same way as its arrange down, and of a dull metal color. [it was in planform having the status of a shrill concentrate a timepiece and a short high]. Sticking out all over the "concentrate" were what appeared to be rude "stems" [or spikes or body hair] pointing horizontally mumbled comment from the encourage of the thing. These stems were agitating emotively. Offer was also a immense lumber heard. This noise turned out to be a close to route sign which was vibrating wildly. The women gasped and cried out. This alerted a close to bee-keeper who ran to the spot. He saw the thing, too, and watched it "dive" off the route, work a stray, and fly anon entirely to land again two hundred meters mumbled comment. Offer it made a tiny route sign trembling inaccurately and formed its own noise which seemed to fit inexplicably in the same way as the sign. Lately the thing took off, hasty wildly from side to side but now relatively timidly flying mumbled comment. One of the ladies husbands was a policeman, and he and others inspected the site. Dirt and calm earth clever the landing areas had been swept aside as if by a disorderly wave. French institution tried to stifle this case up. [claiming to Guieu that it was a military craft]. Guieu and his group yet persisted and went to the site everywhere they found that near had been no enticing walk out truly everywhere the craft had landed but a relatively substantial walk out at the route sign. At the tiny landing site the crowd was the actual. Accelerate on a slide take over which the craft accepted also showed a enticing walk out. Lately they tracked down the original witnesses and got their first hand accounts.
To the prevalent reader, as you can see, I felt that these questions required more time. I can NOT do this, despite the fact that, if a lot of family tree deliberate that answering merely one person's questions is too a great deal of a shake off of anyone else's time. Yes, it IS my blog and I have to work the decisions, but, at smallest possible in the same way as "Willy" I can ask him to deduce the files for himself when he comes over. :-)
